IC 2912 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type S in Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 1.2 billion light-years from the Milky Way and about 170,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2886 , IC 2896 , IC 2909 , IC 2929 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 27, 1906 .
