III: Temples of Boom ( English for Temple of Thunder ) is the third studio album by the US rap group Cypress Hill . It was released on October 31, 1995 on the Ruffhouse and Columbia Records labels and was certified platinum in the US for more than one million units sold .

Cover design

The album cover is in black and white, it shows a person dressed in black walking up a staircase towards the entrance of a temple. To the left and right of the stairs are deep abysses. The words Cypress Hill and III: Temples of Boom are in the top left of the picture.

Guest Posts

For the first time, guest contributions by other artists can be heard on a Cypress Hill album. The Wu Tang Clan rappers RZA and U-God appear in the song Killa Hill Niggas .

The album entered the German charts at number 19 in the 46th calendar week of 1995. In the following weeks it was in position 55; 20 and 30. Overall, III: Temples of Boom stayed in the top 100 for nine weeks. In the US, the album debuted at number 3 and stayed in the charts for 34 weeks.

As singles were Throw Your Set in the Air , Illusions and Boom Biddy Bye Bye decoupled.
