The ITC Engineering GmbH (first as engineering office for technical cybernetics ) was founded in 1994 and is an international development service providers with customers in the automotive , aerospace and medical technology . It has been a subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH since 2017 . In addition to consulting and development support, the company provides system solutions in the areas of software engineering, embedded systems, model-based development and tests, control technology and signal processing. The company employs more than 1100 people at its headquarters in Rülzheim in the Palatinate region and in other branches in Germany . ITK is also represented in the USA , Japan , Spain and Austria . At the beginning of 2014, ITK Engineering received the FOCUS award “Top National Employer” with two third places from 22 industries. In 2015 and 2016, ITK Engineering was able to defend 3rd place in the automotive and supplier / medium-sized employers category.

history

In 1994 Michael Englert founded the engineering office for technical cybernetics in Kuhardt , Rhineland-Palatinate . The move to the Herxheim technology center and the first projects in the automotive and aerospace sectors were in 1999. In 2001, the first branch was opened in Marburg and the ITK Engineering company was founded. In 2007 it was transformed into ITK Engineering AG. In 2009 a foreign subsidiary was founded in the USA, and in 2011 in Japan. In 2012 there was a development partnership with Audi Sport. In 2012 there was an award as a finalist in the Grand Prix for medium-sized companies. In 2013 the new company headquarters opened and moved to the company's own building in Rülzheim. In 2015 ITK Engineering AG won the Grand Prize for SMEs from Rhineland-Palatinate / Saarland in the “Successful Growth” category. In 2016 ITK Engineering AG was nominated again for the Grand Prix for medium-sized companies. On October 13, 2016, Robert Bosch GmbH announced that it wanted to take over 100% of ITK Engineering. The takeover was completed on January 12, 2017. On February 3, 2017, the conversion to ITK Engineering GmbH took place.

Managing directors

Michael Englert, who studied electrical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe , is the founder of ITK Engineering and chairman of the management board . From 2003 to 2017, Helmuth Stahl, an expert in the field of modeling, simulation and control engineering, was a member of the management of ITK Engineering. The chairman of the supervisory board is Rudolf Maier. In the course of the takeover by Bosch, Bernhard Bihr, who also heads Bosch Engineering GmbH , also moved to the ITK board of directors. Since 2018 the management consists of Michael Englert and Bernd Gohlicke.
