I Wish (Original title: 奇跡 Kiseki , literally: "Miracle") is a Japanese film by Hirokazu Koreeda from 2011 .

action

The film is about the two brothers Kōichi and Ryūnosuke, who live in different parts of Japan due to the divorce of their parents. Kōichi's dearest wish is to see his brother again. One day, when a line for a high-speed train is being built between the two cities, Kōichi gains new hope, because according to Japanese popular belief, wishes come true when two trains pass each other.
