action

The three sisters Sachi, Yoshino and Chika Koda live in Kamakura , a tranquil coastal town not far from the Japanese capital Tokyo, in their grandmother's old house. Fifteen years after her father broke up with another woman, they go to a distant province of Japan to attend his funeral. There they get to know their 13-year-old half-sister Suzu Asano. Since Suzu is now on his own, the three sisters offer to take her in. A little hesitant at first, the shy Suzu finally accepts the offer with thanks. When they return to Kamakura, however, their mother is not very happy about the new arrival, but gradually the bonds between the four young women strengthen.
