I quattro del Pater Noster is not listed in the German-speaking spaghetti westerns -Komödie, a parody of the already strange in itself yes Ace High .
action
Paul and Eddie, two rather clumsy fellows, accidentally come into possession of the gold that the Jackson brothers stole in the Wild West. Soon they will be arrested for robbery and jail on the property. When they break out with the help of the revolutionary Mambo, they are soon persecuted and caught by the Jackson brothers, who are actually responsible for the crime. However, the money is no longer there; in addition, reinforced by the itinerant preacher Lazzaro, they also have to deal with other people interested in the precious metal, such as Mexican revolutionaries and a group of gamblers, as they are trying to get the money back in a casino.
criticism
Christian Keßler recommends the film as one of the funniest western comedies he has ever seen. The four main actors turned the parody of four for an Ave Maria into a successful slapstick film, the goal of which was complete destruction, which was captured by cameraman Pallottini "very agile and suitable". The Italian magazine “King Cinema” compared the actors Villaggio, Toffolo, Montesano and Lionello with the Marx Brothers based on their origins and experience in cabaret, television and now in film.
Remarks
The title song is part of the soundtrack of Luis Bacalov's film, which has now been released on CD.
