Iain James Williamson (born January 12, 1988 in Edinburgh ) is a Scottish football player.

Career

Iain Williamson began his professional career at Dunfermline Athletic . He made his debut for the team known by the nickname Pars in November 2006 in the Scottish Premier League against Glasgow Rangers when he came on for Stephen Crawford . By the end of the season he came three more times in the league under Irish coach Stephen Kenny for use. With the team that was studded with well-known players such as Dorus de Vries , Scott Wilson , Souleymane Bamba , Greg Shields and Mark Burchill , Williamson reached the Scottish Cup final in 2007 (in which he was substituted for Mark Burchill), which against Celtic Glasgow with 0: 1 was lost. With Dunfermline he rose to the bottom of the table at the end of the season from the Premier League to the First Division . In the following second division season he was used in ten league games. In July 2012 he moved to Iceland to UMF Grindavík , with whom he occupied one of the two relegation places of Pepsideild 2012 at the end of the season . In order not to have to compete with the club in the second division, he moved within Iceland to the capital club Valur Reykjavík .
