I don't know anyone - Alone Among Heteros is a documentary about homosexuals who live in the countryside, far from cities with a homosexual scene and infrastructure. Most of the film is set in Baden-Württemberg .

The film documents the lives of five main characters.

Hartmut, HIV positive, is active in the Albverein and the church choir. He kept his homosexuality a secret in Germany until his diagnosis, but he traveled to Thailand , where he devoted himself to sex tourism .

Stefan is a forest worker and lives with his mother. He is drawn to the gay scene in Stuttgart every now and then .

Richard was born in 1924 and had to live out his homosexuality in secret for much of his life.

Uwe is 37 years old and also lives with his mother. The film documents his first trip to Berlin into the gay scene there.

Erika has two gay sons and is now active in a parent group for parents of homosexual children.

The film was invited to over 50 festivals and received a lot of media coverage, it was praised in many reviews.
