Idunnu Münch
Idunnu Münch (* 1993 in Munich ) is a German opera and concert singer ( mezzo-soprano ).
biography
Münch studied singing as a young and full student at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . She made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2013 and was an apprentice in the ensemble of the Stuttgart State Opera from 2015 to 2017 . This was followed by appearances at the Verbier Festival , at the Opéra national du Rhin , at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, at the Komische Oper Berlin and at the BBC Proms in London. Münch worked with conductors such as Ivor Bolton , Sylvain Cambreling and Esa-Pekka Salonen and has been accompanied by ensembles such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra , the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic . Since the 2019/2020 season she sings as Harewood Artist at the English National Opera in London. In addition to the opera, Münch appears as a soloist in baroque and classical works. The art song is a focus of her concert repertoire.
