Ignacio Chavez (born January 8, 1957 ) is a Mexican pool player .
Career
In July 2002 Ignacio Chavez first reached the final round of the 9-ball world championship and was eliminated there in the round of 64 against the American Jeremy Jones . In August 2008 he reached the round of 16 of the 14/1 endless World Cup and lost it 128: 200 against eventual world champion Niels Feijen . At the Pan American Championships in 2009 , Chavez became Pan American champions in 9-ball and 10-ball with final victories against Carlos Castro and Frailin Guanipa . A few months later he was eliminated in the round of 64 of the 10-Ball World Cup with 8: 9 against the German Ralf Souquet . In May 2010, he made it to the final of the Ultimate 10-Ball Championship , which he lost to the American Shane van Boening . At the Pan American Championships 2010 he was able to successfully defend his 9-ball title in the final against Chilean Enrique Rojas . In July 2015 he won the Pan American championship in 8-ball with a final victory against the Argentinian Jorge Llanos and came in third place in 9-ball.
