Ignaz Albrecht Provisore

Ignaz Albrecht Provisore (also Ignaz Albert Provisore ; Ignatius Albrecht Provisore ; Ignaz Albert Provisor ; Italian Ignacio Provisore ; † 1743 in Breslau ) was an Austrian baroque plasterer .

Life

Ignaz Albrecht Provisore came from Vienna . It is documented for the first time in 1712, when he and other colleagues stuccoed the altar of the Passau Jesuit Church , which was decorated by several artists from Italy. Since the altar was designed by the Breslau Jesuit Christoph Tausch and Ignaz Albrecht Provisore was known as a stucco marble specialist, it is likely that he came to Breslau through the acquaintance of Christoph Tausch.

  • Jesuit Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus ( from 1819 Parish Church of St. Matthias ): wall paintings with stucco marbling
  • St. Vincent Church : Conversion of the Marienkapelle into a mausoleum for the Premonstratensian Abbot Ferdinand v. Hochberg based on a design by Christoph Hackner (1723–1727 together with the sculptors Johann Albrecht Siegwitz and Johann Georg Urbansky and the stone sculptor Johann Adam Karinger )
• Fürstenstein Castle : Stuccoing of the ceiling in the Maximilianssaal on behalf of Count Hochberg
• Grüssau monastery : stucco work in the prince's chapel (1736)
• Leubus Monastery : Furnishing of the Princely Hall (1735–1737), together with the painter Christian Philipp Bentum and the sculptor Franz Joseph Mangoldt , among others
