Igor Sergejewitsch Alexandrow ( Russian Игорь Сергеевич Александров ; born February 5, 1973 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a German - Russian ice hockey player who was active in the German Ice Hockey League for twelve seasons .

Career

The striker began his career in the top Russian league in 1991 with Chimik Voskressensk , after a one-year trip to North America to the Springfield Indians in the AHL Alexandrov returned to Voskressensk for the 1994/95 season.

During the 1996/97 season , the Russian signed a contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers from the DEL , for which he was on the ice until 1998 . After spending a year with the Kölner Haien and the Hannover Scorpions , Alexandrow joined the Augsburger Panthers in the 2000/01 season, with the Iserlohn Roosters and the Adler Mannheim also performing in the DEL . In 2006 Igor Alexandrov returned to the Ice Tigers again, but during the current season he moved back to the Super League at Metallurg Novokuznetsk.

For the 2007/08 season he signed an annual contract with Füchsen Duisburg . In December 2008, Alexandrow was deleted from the Füchse squad due to a lack of fitness and then played in the top league with cooperation partner Herner EV .
