Igor Wladimirowitsch Velichko ( Russian Игорь Владимирович Величко , English transcription Igor Vladimirovich Velichko , born August 1, 1995 in Vladivostok ) is a Russian beach volleyball player .

Career

Velitschko and Alexander Margiew were U18 European champions in Brno in 2012 and fifth at the U19 World Cup in Porto in 2013 . In 2014 Velichko played mainly alongside Ivan Golovin and finished ninth together with his brother Oleg at the U22 European Championship in Fethiye . With Maxim Siwolap he finished third at the U22 European Championships in 2015 in Macedo de Cavaleiros and fifth in 2016 in Thessaloniki . Siwolap / Welitschko also competed in CEV tournaments (best results in 2017, second place in Ljubljana and victory in Mersin ) and at FIVB tournaments (best results in 2017, fifth place in Kisch and victory in Qinzhou ).

In 2018 Oleg Stojanowski was Welitschko's partner. At the FIVB 4-star tournament in Doha , the two Russians reached the final, which they lost against Brouwer / Meeuwsen from the Netherlands . A month later, Stojanowski / Welitschko won the 4-star tournament in Xiamen . Further highlights were fifth place at the European Championship in the Netherlands , third place at the 4-star tournament in Moscow and seventh place at the World Tour Final in Hamburg .

Velichko played with Nikita Lyamin from October 2018 to April 2019 . Maxim Chudjakow has been his partner since May 2019 , with whom he qualified for the World Cup in Hamburg .
