The drama Your Last Chance is about the budding photographer Mary Ann Taylor, who tries to gain independence in a conservative small town in the southwest of the USA. The film shows how she breaks away from her family and environment and finally accepts her scholarship to study in Los Angeles. She has to leave her mother Clara, who is suffering from cancer, and her father Sam, who seems quiet but always supported his daughter. Mary Ann's friend Jack doesn't want to let her go at first, but later realizes that he doesn't want to stand in the way of her happiness. Jack's sister Nancy, who is molested by her husband Les, is also not particularly happy that Mary wants to leave town. Everything turns out well for Mary Ann in Los Angeles when her boyfriend Jack moves in with her and shows her his goodwill for a long-term relationship.
