The Ilowlja ( Russian Иловля ) is a left tributary of the Don in the Russian oblasts of Saratov and Volgograd .

The Ilowlja rises in the Volga Heights in the southwest of Saratov Oblast. It flows in a predominantly south-south-west direction to the Don. Its length is 358 km. The Ilowlja is mainly fed by the snowmelt . It drains an area of ​​9250 km². Its mean discharge is 22 km above the estuary, at the urban-type Ilowlja settlement , only 9.6 m³ / s. The river freezes in early December. At the end of March / beginning of April the river is free of ice again. In addition to the small town of the same name Ilowlja, the small town of Petrow Wal and the district administration center of Olchowka lie on the river .
