Ilsank is a settlement in the municipality of Bischofswiesen in the Berchtesgadener Land district .

location

Ilsank is located directly on an approximately 460 meter long section of the Ramsauer Strasse ( Bundesstrasse 305 , here part of the German Alpine Road ) between Ramsau and Berchtesgaden and covers an area of ​​around 3.7 hectares .

history

The new district got its name from the historic property ( whole courtyard ) Illsank , or Illsankmühle according to the statistical overview of 1698, at that time one of 20 properties or 16 entire courtyards. The Illsankmühle, however, stood 200 meters further to the west than the westernmost building in today's district, immediately west of the Bachmanngraben near its confluence with the Ramsauer Ache.

However, no new name was given for an officially designated part of the municipality. So Ilsank is still part of the community part ( Gnotschaft ) Engedey .
