Immanuel Gottlob Brastberger (born April 10, 1716 in Sulz am Neckar , † July 13, 1764 in Nürtingen ) was a German clergyman .

Life

Immanuel Gottlob Brastberger was born in Sulz am Neckar on April 10, 1716 as the son of a dean. After studying at the University of Tübingen , he also became dean in Stuttgart in 1737 , and in the following year he became preacher of the garrison in Ludwigsburg . He finally took over a pastor's post in Oberesslingen in 1745, and another position as dean was transferred to Nürtingen in 1756. Brastberger died there on July 13, 1764 at the age of 48. He is one of the founders of Württemberg Pietism .
