Always the darn women is a Swiss comedy film by Toni Stubhan from 1970.

action

The women of a Swiss community want to finally achieve equality. At the head of the riot is midwife Spyri, who does not want to be married by mayor Stirnimann at all. They succeed in kidnapping the head of the community and installing his former lover in his place.

Women’s politics frighten husbands. With the help of a bar owner, Stirnimann devises a plan to bring the women back to their senses. The men appear to have fun with the barmaids, which makes the wives jealous. All parties involved are reconciled and the situation normalizes.

background

Ten years earlier, the basic topic was dealt with in the dialect film When d'Fraue choose . Alfred Rasser developed the original idea . Although it was a Swiss production, the film did not differ significantly from the German or Austrian entertainment film that was customary at the time, as most of the actors in front of and behind the camera also came from these countries.

The shooting took place in Küssnacht . With the same technical staff and in some cases the same actors, the movie Don't worry darling, I'll be careful! turned.

The premiere took place on December 26, 1970 in the Basel Capitol cinema. The film comedy found its way into the German movie theaters on April 2, 1971.
