Industriepark ob der Tauber is an industrial area and residential area on Waltersberg in the district of Grünsfeld in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The industrial park ob der Tauber is located on the Waltersberg about 1.5 kilometers west of the city of Grünsfeld and about 1.5 kilometers east of the Tauberbischofsheim district of Distelhausen . In the east, the development of the industrial park extends directly to the boundary between Grünsfeld and Tauberbischofsheim-Distelhausen.

history

In 1994 the cities of Lauda-Königshofen and Grünsfeld founded the "Industriepark ob der Tauber" association for the joint settlement of commercial enterprises. By December 2019, 39 properties had been built on and over 40 companies had settled in the industrial park.

traffic

The industrial park ob der Tauber can be reached from the west (from Distelhausen) and from the east (from Grünsfeld) via the L 512 . At Distelhausen there is a connection to the B 290 and via this in turn a connection without having to go through town to the Tauberbischofsheim junction of the A 81, about 2.5 km away . At Tauberbischofsheim there is also a connection to the B 27 . A biogas plant , which is located north to northwest of the industrial park, can be reached via the Rötensteinstraße branching off from the L 512 in Grünsfeld and a farm road that leads up the Waltersberg.

There is a wayside cross at the edge of the industrial park, immediately before the boundary in the direction of Tauberbischofsheim-Distelhausen. Another wayside shrine is located on a farm road that leads to the biogas plant north of the industrial park.
