Inge Gampl

Inge Gampl (born Ingeborg Schmerscheider, June 27, 1929 in Berlin ; died December 18, 2018 ) was an Austrian lawyer and author of detective novels .

Life

The niece of Valérie von Martens moved with her family to Vienna in 1937 , studied law and received her doctorate in 1952 . In 1960 she completed her habilitation with Willibald Plöchl in the subject of canon law , in 1972 she was ao. Univ.-Prof. for canon law and state church law at the University of Vienna , 1981 o. Univ.-Prof. From 1990 to 1991 she was Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna.

Despite numerous scientific publications, especially in the field of state church law , Inge Gampl never denied her inclination to literature and the easy muse. Retired in October 1993 , she has since enjoyed the crime novel genre, but has also written plays and chansons . The mother of two daughters, married since 1953, was a member of the IG Authors Authors , the Austrian PEN Club and the Sisters in Crime .
