As early as 1956, Inge Wolff's father, the ADTV dance teacher Tino Schneider, and Hans-Georg Schnitzer (journalist) founded the “Technical Committee for Etiquette”. The work of this committee ended due to illness around the years 1984 to 1986. In August 1989, the successor to the “Working Group Umhandformen International” (AUI) was established. Since then, Inge Wolff has headed it and represented it in public. The approximately 20 volunteer members of the AUI come from all industries that are professionally involved with manners, protocols, table manners, etc. The AUI works with the General German Dance Teachers Association (ADTV) .
