Ingeborg Pfüller

Ingeborg Ella Pfüller , often also Pfuller , (born January 1, 1932 ) is a former Argentine athlete who was successful in the shot put and discus throw . She won four medals at Pan American Games and seven medals at South American Championships , including four gold medals.

Career

Ingeborg Pfüller won her first international medal at the South American Championships in Lima in 1949, when she won bronze with 36.05 meters behind her compatriot Ingeborg Mello and Chilean Zita Brandt . At the first Pan American Games in 1951 in front of a home crowd in Buenos Aires, Ingeborg Mello won with ball and discus. Ingeborg Pfüller won silver with 37.19 meters with the discus, with the ball she was one centimeter behind the Brazilian Vera Trezoitko in the end with 11.58 meters . The 1952 South American Championships also took place in Buenos Aires, Ingeborg Pfüller won silver behind Ingeborg Mello with both the ball and the discus. At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , she reached seventh place with 41.73 meters and narrowly missed the final battle.

Ingeborg Pfüller did not take part in the South American Championships in the nine years between 1952 and 1961. Her only big competition was in 1955 when she won the Pan American Games in Mexico City, where she won 43.19 meters and three meters ahead of her compatriot Isabel Avellán .

Ingeborg Pfüller came back in 1961, she celebrated two double victories at the South American Championships in 1961 and 1963 and won the silver medal in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in São Paulo in 1963 with a width of 47.83 meters, two meters behind Canadian Nancy McCredie . In the shot put, she finished fifth in São Paulo.

With a height of 1.68 meters, her competition weight was 64 kilograms.
