Ingo Walther (born November 16, 1969 in Jena ) is a former German soccer player .
Athletic career
Ingo Walther comes from the junior division of SG Traktor Lindig . The Kahla Chemical Station followed later . After a temporary move to FC Carl Zeiss Jena , Walther played again from 1986 to 1997 for Chemie and SV 1910 Kahla. In 1991 he won the Thuringian State Cup with Kahla after a 4: 3 nE against FV Zeulenroda . Then Walther moved to VFC Plauen for two seasons , where he won the Sachsen Cup in 1999 against Erzgebirge Aue .
In 1999 Walther made the leap into the 2nd Bundesliga to SpVgg Greuther Fürth , where he made 45 appearances (3 goals) over the next two years. By winning the DFB Indoor Cup in 2000, he was also able to win a title in Fürth . In 2001 he moved to the regional division Chemnitzer FC , and after two seasons, the midfielder was hired by 1. SC Feucht in 2003 . After the bankruptcy of the Franks, Walther moved on the sixth day of the 2005/06 season to Bayern league club SpVgg Bayreuth .
At the beginning of the 2010/11 season, Walther took over the post of coach Klaus Scheer who had migrated to Schweinfurt and acted as player- coach at the SpVgg Bayreuth called "Oldschdod". On March 10, 2011, Walther was dismissed as a trainer with immediate effect. On February 3, 2012, he was introduced as the coach of the district classics ATS Kulmbach , whom he led unbeaten to promotion to the district league in 2013. The 2013/14 season was also finished as champions in the new league, but ATS Kulmbach announced the separation from Ingo Walther at the end of the season.
In 2012, he also opened a sports shop in downtown Bayreuth, which had to be closed after a short time due to an application for bankruptcy.
At the end of the winter break 2014/15, Walther took over the coaching position at the regional league club VFC Plauen , from which he was dismissed on October 22, 2015. Then Walther worked a half series as a trainer for the district division FSV Bayreuth with whom he rose to the state league. However, his contract was not extended.
From summer 2017 to winter 2019, Walther worked as a trainer in the women's division of SpVgg Bayreuth in the Landesliga Nord until he returned to ATS Kulmbach. There he was released after a short time due to sporting failure.
