Ingrun Fußenegger

Ingrun Fußenegger (* 1963 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian choir director and conductor .

Life

Ingrun Fußenegger received her first musical education in her native city before completing her studies in church music , organ and orchestral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . a. Erwin Ortner and Peter Planyavsky were among their teachers.

After her graduation to the Magistra artium, she not only pursued further studies abroad with Eric Ericson , Ton Koopman and Philippe Herreweghe , but also completed the lecturer training for Gregorian chant with Godehard Joppich , Luigi Agustoni , Rupert Fischer and Johannes Berchmans Göschl in Essen . From 1985 to 1999 she taught at the Diocesan Conservatory for Church Music of the Archdiocese of Vienna. In addition, she has been a vocal soloist at the Klangforum Wien since 1996. From 1998 to 2001 she was the cathedral music director at the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Feldkirch and church music advisor for the diocese of Feldkirch .

After completing her habilitation in 2004, she has since taught as a professor for choral conducting and ensemble conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . She is a member of the vocal ensemble Ensemble Arcantus , which was founded in 2005 , and is also a course and workshop leader for choir and ensemble direction , Gregorian chant and children's choir.
