The (International) Noise Conspiracy is a rock group from Umeå , a city in northern Sweden .
history
The band was founded in 1998 by ex- Refused singer Dennis Lyxzén together with bassist Inge Johansson (formerly “Totalt Jävla Mörker”), Sara Almgren (guitar, organ) and drummer Ludwig Dahlberg . The guitarist and backup singer Lars Strömberg was a former member of the band Separation .
The live album produced by Tobby Holzinger on Your Choice Records should be the last document with Sara Almgren, because in 2003 Sara Almgren left the band. The album Armed Love was released in August 2004, the current one, The Cross of My Calling, in November 2008.
With the exception of two albums, all of the band's records were released on Burning Heart Records .
style
The group musically refers to the rock, soul and punk rock of the 1960s and 1970s. Influences from The Who to Blondie and especially The Make Up cannot be ignored.
Lyrically, the band primarily deals with the negative effects of globalization , capitalism , imperialism , misogyny and racism . Bands like Division of Laura Lee are often compared to the band in style.
