Intuition Records is a German jazz music label with headquarters in Mainz .

history

In 1980 founded Vera Brandes with VeraBra her first music label . Since the part of the name Bra is also used as an abbreviation for a brassiere , in 1987 she decided to set up a new label for the international market with an innocuous name: Intuition Records . The company was based in Cologne, sales in the USA were handled by Capitol Records , and sales in Europe by EMI . In the mid-1990s, the parent company veraBra music group (VMG) got into financial difficulties and Intuition Records was sold to Schott Musik .

In 2000, Intuition and Wergo were "brought together under the umbrella of Schott Music & Media", and two years later the headquarters were relocated from Cologne to Mainz.
