Ion Ionuț Luțu (born August 3, 1975 in Slatina ) is a former Romanian football player .

Career

Luțu played for FC Progresul Bucharest at the beginning of his career . From 1996 to 1998 he was a player for FC Universitatea Craiova . Galatasaray Istanbul noticed him and signed him in January 1998. Two months after his move, the midfielder asked for his contract to be terminated. Galatasaray met his request. In 1999 and 2000 Luțu played for Universitatea Craiova and Steaua Bucharest . This was followed by transfers to South Korea ( Suwon Samsung Bluewings ), Cyprus ( Apollon Limassol ) and Kazakhstan ( FK Qairat Almaty , Schetissu Taldyqorghan ) and Jordan ( Al-Jazeera ).
