Irene Wolff-Molorciuc

Irene Wolff-Molorciuc (born September 8, 1955 in Berlin ; † July 25, 2012 ) was a German politician ( Die Linke ). She was a member of the state parliament in Brandenburg from 1999 to October 2009 and again from 2009 until her death in 2012 .

Life

Irene Wolff-Molorciuc was born on September 8, 1955 in Berlin. After attending the Polytechnic and Extended High School from 1962 to 1974, she began studying pedagogy. She began studying Russian and history at the University of Education "Clara Zetkin" in Leipzig and was able to deepen her knowledge of Russian through a study visit to Rostov-on-Don . In 1978 she completed her studies as a certified teacher. Wolff-Molorciuc was then initially assigned a position at the POS in Tantow as a teacher. She later moved to the POS in Passow . In 1980 she became deputy director, from 1982 to 1989 she was director of Passower POS. Wolff-Molorciuc then moved to the SED district leadership in Angermünde , where she remained active until 1991 as an employee of the PDS district executive. Subsequently, she was temporarily unemployed until 1994 or in retraining by the employment office. After the state elections in 1994, Wolff-Molorciuc found a job as an employee of a PDS member of the state parliament in his constituency office. In 1999 she moved to the state parliament.

Irene Wolff-Molorciuc lived in Passow and was married.

Irene Wolff-Molorciuc had been a member of the SED since 1974 . She first appeared politically in 1989 as an employee of an SED district leadership. Since 1990 she has represented her party in the municipal council of Welsebruch (since 2004 again in Passow) and in the district council, first of the district of Angermünde , later of the district of Uckermark .

In 1999 Wolff-Molorciuc was able to enter the Brandenburg state parliament for the first time via the state list of her party . During the 3rd electoral term (1999-2004) she was a member of the Committee on European Affairs and Development Policy. In the 2004 state elections she was able to win the direct mandate in the constituency of Uckermark I and represented her group in the Committee on Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Family (2004-2005, 2007-2009), in the meantime she was again a member of the Committee on European Affairs and Development Policy . In 2009, she was defeated by Prime Minister Matthias Platzeck ( SPD ), who was also in the Uckermark I constituency, and thus initially left the state parliament. Only after Renate Adolph's resignation was she able to move up to the state parliament in December 2009.

Wolff-Molorciuc was state chairwoman of the people's solidarity in Brandenburg and also a member of the national board of the aid organization.
