Ireneusz Pacula (born November 16, 1966 in Mysłowice ) is a former German - Polish ice hockey player and current coach who played for the Kassel Huskies in the German ice hockey league from 1985 to 2005 .

Career

Pacula started his career in 1984 with the Polish team Naprzód Janów . In 1989 he moved to Germany for the ECD Sauerland in the 2nd Bundesliga North. Between 1990 and 1993 he played for one and a half years for the second division club ESC Wolfsburg and the Mannheim ERC from the ice hockey Bundesliga . From 1993 to 1996 he played for the Kassel Huskies - first in the 2nd Bundesliga and then from the 1994/95 season in the newly founded German Ice Hockey League . From 1996 to 1999 he was on the ice for the second division clubs EV Ravensburg and EC Nordhorn . He then spent three seasons at EHC Straubing , with whom he immediately achieved promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga as champions of the Oberliga Süd in the 1999/2000 season . For the 2002/03 season he moved to Neusser EV in the fourth-class ice hockey regional league . Pacula ended his career with the regional league team GEC Nordhorn , where he was still used occasionally until 2010 and which he was head coach since the 2009/10 season.

International

For Poland Pacula took part in the B World Championship in 1987 and the A World Championship in 1992 . He was also in his country's squad at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary .
