Iryna Anatolijiwna Lishchynska ( Ukrainian Ірина Анатоліївна Ліщинська , English transcription Iryna Lishchynska , nee Неделенко Nedelenko ; born January 15, 1976 in Makijiwka ) is a Ukrainian athlete .

The middle-distance runner initially started in the 800-meter run , but was eliminated from the 1997 World Championships in Athens and the 1999 World Championships in Seville.

In 2002 she finished tenth in the 1500 meter run at the European Championships in Munich . The following year she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in 2003 in Birmingham and came to the semi-finals of the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis .

In 2006 she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow and eighth at the European Championships in Gothenburg .

In 2007 she won silver at the World Championships in Osaka after the original second Jelena Sobolewa was convicted of doping. At the Olympic Games 2008 she won the silver medal in 4: 01.63 minutes behind Nancy Jebet Langat (KEN) and ahead of her compatriot Natalija Tobias .
