Isaac de Bankolé (born August 12, 1957 in Abidjan ) is an Ivorian actor .

life and career

De Bankolé holds a Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Paris . He completed his training as an actor at the Cours Simon . In 1984 he had his first small film role in The Reckoning . The breakthrough came two years later with Black Mic-Mac . For his acting performance in this work he was awarded a César as the best young actor . Other well-known films he starred in include Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth , Coffee and Cigarettes, and The Limits of Control , and beyond Ghost Dog - The Path of the Samurai with Forest Whitaker , James Bond 007: Casino Royale and Manderlay .

Isaac de Bankolé is married to the jazz singer Cassandra Wilson .
