Isabel Mergl

Isabel Mergl (* 1973 in Munich ) is a German actress .

Life

Isabel Mergl grew up in Ingolstadt, graduated from high school there and then studied social affairs, art history, archeology and American studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . She also had ballet lessons and was trained in jazz dance , modern dance and tango argentino. In 1999 Mergl began studying acting at the Michael Chekhov International School for Dramatic Art in Munich. Since graduating in 2002 she has been working as a freelance actress. As a guest, Mergl played at the Mainfranken Theater in Würzburg , at the Bregenz Theater Kosmos and at the Komödie am Altstadtmarkt in Braunschweig. She was also repeatedly seen in plays in children's theater , for example in Der kleine Eisbär after Hans de Beer , as Findus in Petterson and Findus received Christmas visits based on motifs by Sven Nordqvist or as Pippi Longstocking .

Occasionally, Mergl also appears in front of the camera, primarily as a guest actress in various series. After she had already been seen in two episode roles with the Rosenheim cops , in 2017 she embodied the character of Hilde Stadler , the wife of detective chief inspector Anton Stadler (played by Dieter Fischer ), in a 90-minute special of this series , who until then had only been mentioned in phone calls with her husband.

Isabel Mergl has also been working as a theater teacher since 2011. She is married, has one daughter and lives alternately in Munich and on a farm in Central Franconia.
