It Is Time for a Love Revolution is Lenny Kravitz's eighth studio album .

To the formation

The album was produced by Kravitz a little rougher than its predecessor. Dancin 'Til Dawn , for example, has slight influences from funk . Kravitz 'guitarist Craig Ross co- wrote many pieces . Only with Good Morning was Tony LeMans involved as a songwriter.

success

The album reached number three in the German charts, number two in Austria and number four in the USA and made it to number one in Switzerland. Laut.de saw the influence of Led Zeppelin and wrote: “Lenny Kravitz delivers a more than solid album and makes the misstep called« Baptism »- which in retrospect can be described as a smooth failure - forgotten". Entertainment Weekly gave the grade B and wrote: “His infamous mane may be shorn, but the songs on It Is Time for a Love Revolution remain the same: guitar-heavy, psychedelic-swirly, and determinedly flower-powered. A bit of a lazy lyricist ( ready and steady ? They rhyme!), Kravitz still knows how to turn it out musically ”.
