Lenny is the sixth studio album by Lenny Kravitz . The first single Dig In led to Kravitz winning the fourth Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance in a row. In 2003 he was nominated for a Grammy for the fifth time for If I Could Fall In Love , but could not win the award.
To the formation
After the successful album 5 with the hit Fly Away and the also successful album Greatest Hits, he went to Miami , Florida , where he wrote, recorded and produced the album Lenny himself with a few exceptions.
success
The album reached number 12 on the Billboard 200 , number five in the German charts, number one in Austria and number three in Switzerland. The Slant Magazine wrote, "Kravitz adds layer upon layer, creating a minimalist one-man show of acoustic and electric guitars, live percussion and drum programming. Most striking are Believe in Me and the spiritual You Were in My Heart , a track filled with swirling synthesizers and a subtle yet momentous string arrangement. "
