Are You Gonna Go My Way is Lenny Kravitz's third studio album . It was released on Virgin Records in March 1993 .
To the formation
The album was recorded at Waterfront Studios in Hoboken , New Jersey . Musically it was inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix , John Lennon , Curtis Mayfield , Sly and Robbie and Prince , so it had a style that was more like the 1970s. Craig Ross took on some guitar tracks and also wrote down several pieces, including the title track which became a hit. The accompanying music video won an MTV Video Music Award .

The album reached number twelve on the Billboard 200 and double platinum in the USA, number seven on the German charts and number one in Great Britain and Australia. Allmusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine named Lenny Kravitz's most consistent album, rating it 4.5 out of 5.
