Izatullah Dawlatzai (born May 10, 1991 in Nangarhar ) is a German - Afghan cricket player . He played for the Afghan national cricket team , and in 2018 he played for the German national cricket team for the first time .

Career

Afghanistan

After scoring the second most wickets for the Afghan team at the 2010 ICC U19 World Cricket Championship , he was appointed to the Afghan national cricket team. There he completed his first one-day international against Kenya on October 9, 2010 . He played his first Twenty20 as part of the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier when Afghanistan qualified for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 . He then played in the Intercontinental Cup against the Netherlands in March 2012 , where he scored his best bowling result in ODI cricket with 4/38. His last Twenty20 for Afghanistan, he played in the World Twenty20, but was then no longer considered for the short format nomination. In the Intercontinental Cup he played against Scotland in March 2013 and achieved eleven wickets in the first-class game (6/57, 5/37). In the same competition in Namibia in August 2013 , he achieved another 5/23. Due to an injury, he missed much of 2014 and suffered a setback. He played an ODI against Scotland one last time in the Dubai Triangular Series 2014/15 .

Germany

After coming to Germany, he played for Kummerfelder SV . From 2018 he played for the German national team . In May 2019 he was called up for a Twenty20 series against Belgium and played at the European regional finals for qualifying for the T20 World Cup in Guernsey .
