Jörg Albrecht (politician)

Jörg Albrecht (born October 23, 1968 in Heidelberg ) is a German local politician .

Life

Albrecht visited in Sandhausen the secondary school and obtained afterwards at a commercial vocational school in Heidelberg 1986, the high school. He then completed an apprenticeship in non-technical administrative service at the University of Heidelberg. Afterwards Albrecht attended the vocational college in Heidelberg, which he graduated with a technical college entrance qualification. From 1990 to 1994 he completed his studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Kehl to obtain a degree in administrative management (FH). After that he was clerk at the district office of the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis until 1999 and treasurer of the city of Rauenberg until 2001 .

In 2001 Albrecht was elected mayor of the municipality of Mauer and was re-elected in 2009. In 2012 he ran as the successor to Rolf Geinert , who was no longer running , for the office of Lord Mayor of the major district town of Sinsheim and prevailed in the first ballot with 77.2 percent. In 2020 Albrecht was re-elected.

Since the local elections in May 2014 , Albrecht has also been a member of the district council of the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis. He had run on the list of the CDU at number one of the constituency of Sinsheim.
