Jörg Böhm (* 11. July 1979 in Neuwied , † 16th October 2019 in Jesteburg ) was a German journalist and crime author .

Life

Böhm grew up in the Westerwald . He studied journalism , sociology and philosophy at the Gustav Siewerth Academy in Weilheim-Oberbierbonnen and then became head of the service of the German-language general newspaper in Windhoek , Namibia .

After his return to Germany, Böhm worked, among other things, in the press department of the retail company dm-drogerie markt and as press spokesman for the Sparkasse Südliche Weinstrasse . Until October 2014 he worked in corporate communications at Talanx Deutschland AG , to which HDI Insurance belongs. Since then he has been working full-time as an author.

In May 2012, Böhm married the TV producer and journalist Boris Henn . Since then, his real name has been Jörg Henn, but he published under his maiden name Jörg Böhm. The couple lived near Hamburg.

Böhm died in October 2019 at the age of 40 after a long illness in Jesteburg in the Harburg district .

Works

Since June 2013, five crime novels with Danish investigator Emma Hansen have been published by various publishers (now all CW Niemeyer book publishers ). In March 2016 and March 2018, two novels from the AIDA cruise crime series were also published . Both thrillers were created in cooperation with AIDA Cruises .
