Jörg Schlichter (born December 22, 1983 ) is a German table tennis player . He was German doubles champion in 2009 and 2013.

Career

Schlichter began his career in the association TV Unterboihingen. From 1999 to 2001 he played with TSV Sontheim in the 2nd Bundesliga. Then he moved to the 1st Bundesliga at TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau . About the stations TTC metabo Frickenhausen (2003-2005) and TTC Rhön-Sprudel Fulda-Maberzell (2005-2008) he came to 1. FC Saarbrücken , with whom he was champion in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2008/09 season. In 2009 he joined TSV Graefelfing , and one year later the TTC Weinheim. Since 2016 he has been playing in the 2nd Bundesliga at TTC Grenzau II .

Since 1999, Schlichter has taken part in ITTF Pro Tour tournaments nine times . In 2001 he reached third place in the European Youth Championships. A year later he came second in the German Junior Championship. With the team from TTC metabo Frickenhausen he became German runner-up in 2005. In 2006 he finished the national ranking tournament in second place in the absence of several top players.

In 2009 he won the doubles title in Bielefeld with Alexander Flemming at the German championship . This was considered a surprise, as both played at 1. FC Saarbrücken "only" in the 2nd Bundesliga. On the way to the final, they eliminated Roßkopf / Fetzner and Christ / Wehking . In the final they defeated Ruwen Filus / Steffen Mengel . A year later Flemming / Schlichter finished third in the double DM. In 2013 he was again German champion in doubles with Alexander Flemming.
