Jörg Simmat

Jörg Simmat (born January 1, 1959 in Weimar ) is a German actor .

Life

Jörg Simmat grew up in Weimar. After high school and basic military service, he studied acting from 1979 to 1983 at the theater school "Hans Otto" in Leipzig . After engagements at the Landestheater Altenburg (1983 to 1990), the Central Saxon Theater Freiberg (1990 to 1994) and the Theater Junge Generation in Dresden (1994 to 1996), he worked as a freelancer from 1996 to 2004. From 2004 to 2009 he played at the Plauen-Zwickau Theater . Since then he has been working freelance with guest engagements at the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theater Annaberg and many others.

Jörg Simmat lives in Plauen . He has two children. His son is the actor Jonas Laux .
