The Brodenbach Jewish Cemetery in the municipality of Brodenbach in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate is a protected cultural monument .

49 gravestones have been preserved in the 2007 m² cemetery in the Ehrenburgtal district . It adjoins the last house in the valley; the small street and the Ehrbach delimit the area. It is surrounded by a low hedge and has an open entrance without a gate. The tombstones stand in three rows along the stream. A resident takes care of the site and the visitors.

The Jewish cemetery in Brodenbach was the common cemetery for the Jewish residents living in Brodenbach, Alken , Burgen , Löf , Hatzenport and Oberfell . The first mention as a Jewish property of David Oster et confrères ( transl . David Oster and confreres) can be found in a cadastral map, which was probably laid out at the time Brodenbach belonged to the French Rhine-Moselle department . A gravestone from 1875 is the earliest evidence of occupancy. The last burial took place in 1935. In the era of National Socialism , the tombs were desecrated. Of the stones that were smashed during the Nazi era, around 18 gravestones can be read.
