The Gondorf Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Kobern-Gondorf , a municipality in the Mayen-Koblenz district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The cemetery is located in the middle of a new building area at Obermarkstrasse 81. The Jewish cemetery is a protected cultural monument .

history

A Jewish cemetery is mentioned for the first time in 1585 for today's suburb of Kobern, the location of which is no longer known.

The cemetery in the Gondorf district was occupied from the middle of the 19th century until 1938. Today there are still 64 tombstones ( mazewot ) in the 10.58 ares large cemetery. The cemetery belongs to the Jewish community of Koblenz.
