The Jewish cemetery is a Jewish burial place in the city of Hof (Saale) . The cemetery is located on the Hohensaas in the direction of the Wölbattendorf district .
history
The 27 Ar large cemetery yard, the youngest Jewish cemetery in Upper Franconia, was established in 1911. From Taharahaus of the cemetery are now only remnants exist. During the Nazi regime, it was converted into a storage area for a construction company and restored as a cemetery after the end of World War II .
142 Jewish concentration camp prisoners are buried in a mass grave in the cemetery, a memorial commemorates them.
