Gau-Bickelheim Jewish cemetery

The Gau-Bickelheim Jewish cemetery is a cemetery in the Gau-Bickelheim community in the Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The Jewish cemetery is on the eastern edge of the village on Wallertheimer Straße (= B 420 ).

The 612 square meter cemetery, which was laid out next to the Christian cemetery in 1835 and occupied until around 1935, has 23 tombstones . The adjacent Christian part was abandoned after 1945 and turned into a park.

Old graveyard

An old Jewish cemetery, which was probably laid out in the 17th century and occupied until 1835, was located in front of the "Upper Gate". It was occupied until the new cemetery was built. There are no more tombstones in the cemetery.
