Jürgen Dürrschmidt

Jürgen Dürrschmidt (born February 23, 1954 in Zwickau ) is a German politician of the Die Linke party . From 1990 to 2004 he was a member of the PDS in the state parliament of Saxony .

Life

Dürrschmidt attended a grammar school (the EOS " Artur Becker " in Wilkau-Haßlau ) until 1973 and, after graduating from high school, graduated from 1973 to 1977 with a degree in engineering at the TU Dresden . He then worked at the TU Dresden until 1980 and then continued his education at the Academy for Social Sciences until 1985 to become a graduate cultural scientist. He then worked until his entry into the state parliament of Saxony in Zwickau.

Dürrschmidt joined the SED in 1970 . He was a member of the FDJ from 1968 to 1984 and of the DSF from 1968 to 1990 . In 1990 he joined the PDS. From 1990 to 1994 he was a community representative in Cainsdorf and a member of the district council in the district of Zwickauer Land . In the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , he was elected to the state parliament via the state list, to which he was a member until the end of the third electoral period in 2004. From 2009 to 2014 he was for the parliamentary group Die Linke Zwickau and at the same time deputy group chairman. He was a member of the main, administrative and auditing committee of the city as well as a member of the supervisory board of the municipal transport company .

From 1977 to 1981 Dürrschmidt was as IM for the Stasi of East Germany operates.
