Jürgen Kalb (politician)

Jürgen Kalb (born March 26, 1962 in Bamberg ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and politician ( BP ). The studied theologian and sociologist was from 2001 to 2002 chairman of the Bavarian party.

Life

Kalb grew up in Bamberg and graduated from the Franz-Ludwig-Gymnasium there in 1981. He then studied in Eichstätt and Bamberg. He then went to Berlin for 18 months, where he worked as a social worker to take care of young people who had slipped into the drug and alcohol scene. From 1990 to 1994 he studied sociology in Bamberg. Kalb now worked as a religion teacher at Nuremberg vocational and secondary schools as well as high schools, including the Theresianum .

After a successful completion of pastoral course he received the diaconate in 2005 and was on 6 May 2006 the Bamberg Archbishop Ludwig Schick in Eichstätt Cathedral to the priest for the diocese of Eichstaett ordained . In addition to his work as a religion teacher, he was now active as a chaplain in the Nuremberg parishes of St. Rupert and St. Wunibald.

September 2011 Kalb moved to Möning and took over the management of the parish of St. Willibald with the Pavelsbach branch as parish administrator . In 2012 he resigned from this post for health reasons.
