Jürgen Pettinger (born March 20, 1976 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian journalist and moderator .

biography

After graduating from high school , he went to Innsbruck in 1994 and began studying biology . During his studies he worked as a moderator and editor for various radio stations in Tyrol .

In 2006 he switched to the ORF regional studio in Innsbruck as editor in the current service and speaker for radio and television . 2008 closed Pettinger university studies in Economics and Management at the Management Center Innsbruck from (MCI). He completed his studies alongside his work at ORF. From 2009 to 2012 he moderated the daily television program Tirol heute . Since 2012 he has been working as an editor, reporter and presenter for Zeit im Bild at ORF in Vienna , initially in the domestic affairs department, and since 2013 in the info editorial team of ORFeins . He has designed several documentaries for the documentary series DOKeins on ORFeins , including Voyage, Voyage - Völkerwanderung 2.0 or the TV documentary Heimat-Verbunden, which was filmed simultaneously in Lebanon and Austria . Separated by war and flight .

In 2015 he reported live from the Hungarian-Serbian border town of Röszke for Zeit im Bild . In the radio feature With a warm no pardon. In 2017, the Franz Dom case , Jürgen Pettinger dealt with the life of a homosexual youth during the Nazi regime, the systematic persecution of homosexuals and possible similarities today. This audio documentation was also broadcast on SWR Radio in Germany. Pettinger also regularly reports on the Eurovision Song Contest from the respective host countries for ORF . Since October 2018 he has been moderating the news programs ZIBflash , ZIB18 , ZIB20 and ZIB24 on ORF1
