Just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , Celski was fit again and won the 1500 m and bronze medal in the relay. In the 1000 m race he was disqualified after a handicap from François Hamelin .

Just a few weeks after the games, Celski started at the 2010 Short Track World Championships in Sofia . After winning all the heats, he reached the 1500 m final. There he had to admit defeat to the three South Koreans and in the end just barely missed a medal in fourth.
