Jessica Madison Wright (born July 29, 1984 in Cincinnati , Ohio , † July 21, 2006 in Lexington , Kentucky ) was an American film actress .

Career

J. Madison Wright was born in 1984 as the oldest of four children. Wright's acting talent was shown early on. At the age of five, she was therefore hired as a model . This was one of the reasons her family moved to Los Angeles , where she made her acting debut in an episode of the television series Grace in 1993, at the age of nine .

Just a few months later, Wright was offered one of the supporting roles in the science fiction series Earth 2 . Although the series was discontinued after only 21 episodes, she enjoyed, by her own account, portraying such a multifaceted character as that of the True Danziger .

After Earth 2 , she played Molly Phillips, a patient in the emergency room . A supporting role in the comedy Shiloh followed. Wright also got an offer for The Warlord: Battle for the Galaxy , the pilot of another science fiction series, which was never realized.

In 1999 - the 1998 comedy Safety Patrol was her last film role - Wright lost interest in acting. Her family then decided to move to Kentucky to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Personal

Unexpectedly, 15-year-old J. Madison Wright was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy , a rare disease in which the heart muscle begins to degenerate. The only hope of salvation was to have a transplant . Wright and her parents were forced to live in Cleveland for long periods of time . All of the fortune that she and her family had saved had to be used for the treatments. This went so far that they had to live in a house owned by McDonald's Kinderhilfe .

A donor heart was found only a few months after the disease was diagnosed, so that a transplant could be performed in March 2000.

Clancy Brown , the film actor who played her film father in Earth 2 , had launched an appeal in the mass media to donate money for Madison's family.

After the operation, Wright lived in her hometown in Kentucky. She did not intend to work as a film actress again. She studied at the University of Cumberland , graduated in 2006 and wanted to work as an English teacher at the George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester from autumn 2006 .

On July 8, 2006, she married the medical student Brent Joseph Morris.

On July 21, 2006, the day after returning from their honeymoon, J. Madison Wright Morris died of a heart attack in the University of Kentucky Hospital . Eight days later she would have been 22 years old.
