JSK is an international architecture firm based in Germany with 150 employees at times and branches in Frankfurt am Main , Berlin , Düsseldorf , Braunschweig , Munich and Basel , which in part had to file for bankruptcy in November 2013.

In 1963 Helmut Willy Joos founded an architecture office in Frankfurt / Main. In partnership with Reinhard W. Schulze, he planned a. a. the Sheraton Hotel at Frankfurt Airport . 1980 the architects Helmut W. Joos, Reinhard W. Schulze and Karsten Krüger-Heyden founded the JSK office in Frankfurt .

In addition to the existing offices in Frankfurt and Braunschweig, an office in Düsseldorf was established in 1988. As a result, additional locations were created in Berlin and Zurich . The Polish architecture firm JSK Architekci was founded in Warsaw in 1998 . In 2004, JSK took over the Munich office SIAT GmbH and established another office location there.

In 2010, the partners in the Düsseldorf branch broke away from JSK and founded the SOP Architects office .

Together with Gerkan, Marg and Partner , JSK, the planning association Berlin-Brandenburg International (pg bbi), was commissioned to realize the Berlin Brandenburg Airport . The pg bbi airport company terminated the contract without notice on May 23, 2012 due to cost and deadline overruns, especially in the area of ​​security technology, and filed a lawsuit with the Potsdam Regional Court in June. In an internal investigation by the Federal Ministry of Transport, the dismissal is described as an error in retrospect.
